Training
AI capability that lives inside your team
The teams that win with AI in the next five years aren't the ones with the biggest vendor contract. They're the ones whose people actually understand the technology and can make practical calls about where to use it. That's what training is for.
Four structured courses, from a half-day introduction to a whole-of-business leadership programme. AiTearoa is a registered Regional Business Partner Network service provider, so eligible businesses can get up to 50% off with RBP funding*.
Understanding Your Business and Where AI Can Help
A practical starting point for owners who want to work smarter, not harder. We step back and map how your business actually works, find where time and effort are being lost, and introduce how everyday AI tools can lighten routine workloads — with a clear-eyed view of what AI can and can't do, and how to use it responsibly. The focus is on building your own judgement, not on any one product.
What you'll leave with
- A one-page map of your business activities and where time is most often lost
- The ability to tell which tasks suit AI support and which don't
- A plain-language grounding in the risks (accuracy, privacy, confidentiality) and how to manage them
- A prioritised shortlist of efficiency opportunities, ready to act on
Format
In person or live via Zoom. Delivered one-to-one. No prior AI experience or technical background required.
Streamlining Everyday Admin with AI
Admin is where small businesses lose the most time to the least rewarding work: emails, quotes, scheduling, notes, documents, and follow-ups. This hands-on programme teaches you to use AI to handle everyday admin far more efficiently — practised on your real tasks, in your own voice, with quality and control staying in your hands. The skill stays in the business, and you can pass it on to your team.
What you'll leave with
- Draft, refine, and standardise routine communications using AI, in your own voice
- Summarise long documents, emails, and meetings into clear, usable outputs
- A personal library of tested prompts and templates for your recurring admin
- A simple quality-and-confidentiality checklist for ongoing safe use
Format
In person or live via Zoom. Delivered one-to-one, spread across sessions so you can practise between them. No technical background required.
Improving Operational Efficiency with AI
Once the everyday admin is under control, the next step is the operation as a whole. Learn a structured approach to mapping, measuring, and improving how work flows through your business: find the bottlenecks, redesign the workflow, and judge where AI genuinely helps and where it doesn't. The whole programme is built around one real process from your own business.
What you'll leave with
- Map an end-to-end process and pinpoint exactly where time, cost, or quality is lost
- A repeatable method for redesigning workflows for better flow and fewer errors
- Sound judgement on where AI adds real value in a process — and where it doesn't
- A written standard operating procedure and baseline measures you keep tracking
Format
In person or live via Zoom. Delivered one-to-one. Best after the Foundation course, or with confident everyday use of AI tools.
Building an AI-Enabled, Efficient Operation
A whole-of-business capability programme combining operational improvement, AI capability, and change leadership — delivered over a term so the learning embeds rather than rushes. Develop the skills to lead an efficiency and AI-adoption effort across the business, bring your staff with you, and govern AI use responsibly. The goal is in-house capability your business keeps.
What you'll leave with
- A whole-of-business efficiency and AI-readiness assessment
- A phased transformation roadmap owned by your leadership team
- The change-leadership skills to upskill staff and build genuine buy-in
- A written governance framework for responsible, organisation-wide AI use
Format
In person or hybrid (in person and live via Zoom). Best after the Intermediate programme, or for businesses with equivalent experience.
