Business Development (NZ)

You open doors with NZ businesses. You qualify hard. You don't pitch — you diagnose. You hand warm deals to the delivery team.

NZD 100-140k base + commission + tooling + 5 weeks leave

What you'd do

Find the businesses we should be talking to. Get on their calendar. Listen to their actual problem. Decide whether we're a fit, and if we are, hand it to delivery with a clean brief.

This is consultative sales, not enterprise SaaS quota-jamming. We'd rather win one good engagement than five forgettable ones.

You'd be good for this if

- You've sold real services in NZ (not US-style SaaS quotas). - You're comfortable with technical buyers — you don't need to be a developer, but "what does that integrate with" can't scare you. - You ask better questions than you give answers.

Responsibilities

  • Build and run the NZ sales pipeline
  • Run discovery conversations; produce honest qualification briefs
  • Hand qualified deals to delivery with a clean handover
  • Maintain the relationship as accounts mature

What you bring

  • 3+ years selling services or software in NZ
  • Comfortable with C-level and operational buyers
  • NZ-based, NZ network preferred

Nice to have

  • Existing NZ B2B network
  • Prior AI / software industry experience
  • Bilingual (te reo Māori a plus)
